Fair credit

Both sides of the ledger

What Hypefury does well

The automation set is the product: auto-repost of evergreen content, autoplugs, and one-click repurposing such as turning threads into LinkedIn carousels. (source, 2026-08-27)

The all-inclusive Full plan is simple: $19 a month or $199 a year, every channel included, no per-channel arithmetic. (source, 2026-08-27)

Ghostwriter and VA workflows are supported: you can invite someone to write and manage your accounts. (source, 2026-08-27)

Where Hypefury stops

Hypefury no longer supports X. That is their own pricing FAQ, verbatim in spirit: asked whether X is still supported, the answer is no. The platform the product was built on is gone from its plan cards. (source, 2026-08-27)

No free plan anymore, only a 7-day trial. Their pricing page says so directly. (source, 2026-08-27)

No public developer API is documented anywhere on their site; the personal key that exists serves only their own browser extension. (source, 2026-08-27)

Closed source, no self-hosting, and parts of their own site still carry stale X-era copy that contradicts the current plan cards. (source, 2026-08-27)

Honesty

Who should stay with Hypefury

If evergreen recycling is your strategy, meaning auto-reposting your best content and appending plugs, that is Hypefury's core competence and we deliberately do not build it.

If Instagram or TikTok is your main channel, Hypefury publishes to both today; they sit in our planned catalog.

If you want LinkedIn carousels generated from existing threads, their Full plan does that in one click.

If you search for a Hypefury alternative in 2026, odds are you already know the reason: Hypefury dropped X. Their pricing FAQ says it plainly, and the plan cards now list Bluesky, Threads, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok. For a product whose autoplugs, auto-DMs and tweetshots were built on X's rails, that is not a feature change, it is a different product wearing the same name.

GrowSocialelion publishes to X today through the official API, with your own app credentials, next to Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram and four more networks. There is no per-channel bill and no trial clock, because the app is AGPL and free to run. What we do not offer is Hypefury's recycling machine: no auto-repost, no autoplug. Our agent writes new posts from live research and every one of them passes your approval gate.

Questions

Asked before switching

Does Hypefury still support X (Twitter)?

No. As of 2026-08-27 their own pricing FAQ states Hypefury no longer supports X. Their current channels are Bluesky, Threads, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok. GrowSocialelion publishes to X through the official API.

Does Hypefury have a free plan?

Not anymore; their pricing page offers a 7-day trial, then Flexible at $6 per channel per month or Full at $19 a month. GrowSocialelion is free to self-host under the AGPL.

Can AI agents drive Hypefury?

No public API or MCP server is documented on their site; the one personal key they issue exists for their own browser extension. GrowSocialelion ships MCP from day 0, and its agent tools are the same ones the UI calls.

What does GrowSocialelion not do that Hypefury does?

Evergreen auto-reposting, autoplugs and thread-to-carousel conversion. Those are Hypefury's specialty. Our agent drafts new content from live research instead, and every action is approval-gated.

Try the part that is already free

The hosted app is still pre-launch, so we will not pretend there is a signup. What runs today: the open-source app on your own server, and 500+ free tools that need no account, including character counters whose every limit carries a source, something Hypefury's tools do not offer.
